Bosphorus Film Festival, organized by the cooperation of International Bosphorus Cinema Association and Media Academy, is welcoming its sixth anniversary with a new corporate identity. To be held between October 26 and November 3 in Istanbul, the festival’s brand new logo iconizes the dolphin, one of the significant symbols of the Bosphorus.

The creator of the brand new corporate identity of Bosphorus Film Festival is Ege Öztayfun, an awarded advertising designer. Pointing out that they started the design process based on a crucial need arising from the fact that Bosphorus Film Festival, in spite of its young age, has turned into one of the most important festivals in Turkey and its international recognition has been continually increasing, Ege Öztayfun continued: “We all agreed that Bosphorus Film Festival, hosting significant national and international films, that carry integrity in terms of aesthetics, technics and script, required a new logo. Giving prominence to the aesthetical values, we thought the logo should convey the same approach and hence, we have iconized the dolphin, one of the significant symbols of the Bosphorus and put it in the new festival logo. And we established the visual identity of the festival in a unique and sustainable manner. We think the new identity of Bosphorus Film Festival will provide added value to the festival’s vision both in the national and international arena.”

Organized with the support of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, the institutional partnership of TRT, the global communication partnership of Anadolu Agency, and the institutional communication partnership of Türkmedya, 6th Bosphorus Film Festival will take place in Istanbul between the dates October 26 and November 3.
