Deadline for Bosphorus Film Lab: September 4!

Applications are now open for Bosphorus Film Lab to be organized with the institutional partnership of TRT, and with the aim of supporting the development of the films from Turkey, and creating financial and moral support for the young directors and producers.

Hosting projects at the development or production stage, Bosphorus Film Lab will grant one project vying at the Pitching Platform with the TRT Co-production Award and another project with Postbiyik Color Correction Award. And the projects within Work in Progress section will make their presentations for the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism Special Award worth 25,000 TL alongside with CGV Mars Distribution Award.

After working as an assistant director for Turks at TIFF programme that was organized during Toronto International Film Festival in 2015, Ipek Tugay participated in various projects of Zeynofilm from 2015 to 2019. In addition to her position as a line producer for foreign projects co-produced and distributed by the producer Zeynep Atakan, she worked as a project coordinator in Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest film Ahlat Ağacı and in 2019, and as a line producer for the Turkey section of Elia Suleiman’s Cannes-awarded “This Must be Heaven”. Holding different positions at the co-production and project development market Antalya Film Forum starting from 2015, Tugay proceeded as a general coordinator in 2017 and 2018. Currently, she works as a content developer and production agent for Chantier Films and continues to expand her international network and produce projects.

Assigned as the new director of Bosphorus Film Lab, Ipek Tugay stated; “Bosphorus Film Festival is a significant institution that brings together the industry and cinephiles with its carefully selected programme, and its distinguished guests.
