BOSPHORUS FILM LAB PROJECTS AND JURY MEMBERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED 

Jury Members and projects in the Bosphorus Film Festival industry department Bosphorus Film Lab have been announced.

BOSPHORUS FILM LAB PROJECTS AND JURY MEMBERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED 

Organized by the Bosphorus Culture and Arts Foundation to be held on 23-30 October, 8 projects will be in the Pitching Platform, 6 projects will be in the Work in Progress and 2 projects will be in the First Cut Lab in the 9th Bosphorus Film Festival industry section Bosphorus Film Lab.

 “8” Projects Will Be Competing In This Year’s Pitching Platform

Projects selected for the Pitching Platform will be evaluated by Georges Goldenstern who is the Executive Manager of Cannes Cinefondation, Kamila Morgisz who is the Director of the Film Production and Film Project Development Department at the Polish Film Institute and Faruk Güven who is the Head of TRT Cinema. One project in the platform will receive the TRT Co-Production award and one project will be receiving the Postbıyık Coloring award.

“6” Projects Will Be Competing In This Year’s Work in Progress Platform

Six projects competing in the Work In Progress Platform will be evaluated by Elma Tataragić who is the programmer of Sarajevo Film Festival Official Competition and CineLink Industry Days, Aiste Račaitytė who is the programmer of Vilnius Film Festival and Sales and Purchases Manager at Kino Pavasaris Distribution, and Serdar Can who is the General Manager of CGV Mars Distribution. Projects in the Work In Progress Platform will be conducting their presentations for the award of 25.000 TL for the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism Special award and the CGV Mars Film Distribution award.

“2” Projects Selected For First Cut Lab Have Been Announced

The third edition of First Cut Lab will be held as part of the Bosphorus Film Lab, designed as an editing workshop to develop feature film projects in the editing stage in international standards accompanied by consultants. The directors and producers of two film projects that have submitted for the Turkish section of First Cut Lab will be selected for a special workshop with international film professionals and will get advisory service.

The team lead by First Cut Lab’s director Matthieu Darras consist of First Cut Lab’s editing consultant Benjamin Mirguet, Cairo Film Connection director Chadi Zeneddine, the producer of Nova Lituania and Summer Surviviors films Marija Razgute, and First Cut Plus director Ilaria Gomarasca.

Bosphorus Film Lab Will Unite Producers and Directors in Istanbul!

With the contribution of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism Cinema General Directorate, official partnership of TRT and support of Global Communications Partner Anadolu Agency, taking place on 23-30 October and organized by the Bosphorus Culture and Arts Foundation, the 9th Bosphorus Film Festival industry section Bosphorus Film Lab will bring together national and international directors and producers in a series of events in Istanbul. Events will include panels on “Making a Debut Feature” and “Co-Productions with Turkey”, alongside panels with internationally acclaimed professionals and online meetings.
