Gabriele Brunnenmeyer is a script mentor, project consultant and pitching coach. After starting as a journalist and film critic, she works in various fields within the film industry. She was running the MEDIA Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg, has been an artistic advisor for the Maia Workshops, developing events including Connecting Cottbus, IDM Film Conference Incontri and MDM’s Meet Your Neighbour in Leipzig. For the last fourteen years, Brunnenmeyer was involved in the scouting of emerging talents as a project advisor for the German Funding Foundation Kuratorium Junger Deutscher Film. Alongside consulting on script development, packaging, and pitching for individual projects, she consults for the First Films First script development programme, Midpoint Feature Launch, Baltic Pitching Forum, FilmProSeriesEA, Interfilm Script Pitch, Cannes Court Metrage, Euro Connection Clermont- Ferrand, Berlinale Talents and Sarajevo Talents among others.
KapatGiovanni Robbiano was born in 1958 in Italy. He studied film in Bologna and later at Columbia University in New York as a Fullbright student. After returning to Italy he worked as a screenwriter and directed three features and a TV movie. He wrote many other films, documentaries and TV series in Italy and Europe. He also worked as creative producer and for the series Kommissar Rex. He wrote the short feature Anomalia directed by Luca Franco, and is working on a Russian- Italian feature and a TV series developed by Climax Films Bruxelles. He is also developing the film adaptation of a stage play La Maratona di New York by Edoardo Erba. Since 1998 Robbiano has been teaching at many universities, media programs, workshops, forums and festivals. He works as story editor and script consultant for many international companies. He has published a book on screenwriting, as well as other essays and articles. Since 2013, he has been a member of the European Film Academy.
KapatEFA awarded film editor and member of Polish Association of Editors (PSM), Polish Film Academy (PAF), and European Film Academy (EFA). She studied History and the Theory of Film at the University of Łódź and Film Editing at Łódź Film School. In 2015, she was awarded Best Editing at Polish Film Festival for 11 Minutes by Jerzy Skolimowski and The Here After by Magnus von Horn. In the same year, she was nominated for Polish Academy Award for Best Editing for Jeziorak by Michał Otłowski. In 2017 her work on the documentary film Communion by Anna Zamecka, culminated in a Best European Documentary award, which led to a shortlist for the Oscars. This is in the light of being named as a candidate for All That I Love, 11 Minutes, and Difret in the category of Best Foreign Feature Film. Agnieszka’s last work, Sweat directed by Magnus von Horn, was selected for Cannes Film Festival 2020.
KapatLibet has gained solid experience in co-production, investment, and finance while working for international companies, primarily of U.S. and German origin. Now, she works as a producer in Kyiv, Ukraine. She coordinated the Ukrainian National Stand at the EFM 2020; was a jury member of the shorts competition at Febiofest in 2019; convinced First Cut Lab and EAVE on Demand to hold their workshops in Kyiv; participated in the Cannes Film Market’s Producers Network in May 2018. Natalia has had annual audits with Big 4 and is a member of Ukrainian Film Academy.
KapatAfter studying psychology in Belgium, Wim Vanacker moved to Dublin to work as a psychologist in the field of drug addiction. Three years later, he started studying at EICAR where he made two shorts: Endgame and The Naked leading the Blind. After graduating, he discovered NISI MASA European Network of Young Cinema where he became the Head of the Script Department and the Project Manager of the MEDIA-funded project, European Short Pitch. He founded Sireal Films where he produced the VAF-funded short Empire and he’s a member of the Selection Committee for the Official Short Film Competition of the Cannes Film Festival. He works as a script consultant, creative advisor, tutor, and guest speaker for many film festivals and projects in development. As a writer and director, he’s currently developing the short films [ˈsɪə.ri.əl ] and Psycho Revisited.
KapatCéline studied Film in France, at the Montpellier and Lyon University. After a Master’s degree in distribution, she started working in international sales in Hong Kong and later in Vancouver. Three years later, she joined Logical Pictures, in 2016, right after the French company’s creation, and worked as international co-producer on projects like The Innocents by Eskil Vogt (Cannes Un Certain Regard 2021), Pleasure by Ninja Thyberg (Sundance 2021), and Tchaikovsky’s Wife by Kirill Serebrennikov (Cannes Official Competition 2022). She worked as lead producer on Spectre: Sanity, Madness & The Family by Para One. She is now Head of Investments and International Co-productions for the company and keeps on working on bold, author-driven features, with a special focus on elevated genre films. The company supports many first time directors, helping them grow within an environment of companies including French distribution (The Jokers Films), production of commercials (Loveboat), and international sales (Pulsar Content) on top of production.
KapatJansen is the owner of the sales and festival distribution company Square Eyes. Square Eyes specializes in having outstanding non-mainstream films find the audience and recognition they deserve. With Square Eyes, Wouter represents bold, author-driven feature and short films, and collaborates closely with the filmmakers to devise bespoke festival distribution and sales strategies. This has resulted in films premiering at prestigious festivals and winning multiple awards over the last few years like main prizes at Cannes, TIFF, Berlin, Locarno, and Clermont-Ferrand. He worked as the head of programming at the Go Short International Film Festival during the first 10 editions. Wouter has been giving lectures at schools like Le Fresnoy, HEAD Geneva, and Netherlands Film Academy as well as moderating and leading workshops at festivals like IDFA, Locarno Open Doors, True/False, Winterthur, VIS Vienna Shorts. He is a Berlinale Talents alumni.
KapatZsuzsi started to work as Head of Acquisition and Programming for an independent cinema and distribution company, Cirko Film in Budapest in 2000. Besides, in 2007 she became Head of Acquisition at Szuez Film as well as worked as advisor for many Hungarian independent productions for worldwide festival and distribution strategy. At the beginning of 2012, she moved to Cologne to start as Head of Acquisition at The Match Factory. Here, for 8 years, she oversaw most of the independent film productions, sales activities, festival, and marketing strategy, film production, and development. In 2020 she created the Cutting Edge Talent Camp which is focusing on new German talents during the Mannheim International Film Festival. Since 2020 she has been working for the Open Doors section at the Locarno International Film Festival; first, as a Talent Development Manager, and since 2022, she is Head of the Program. Besides that she works as consultant on international strategies for Doha Film Institute, Torino Film Lab, and Cinemart.
